Dr. Mitali Mukerji is recipient of the national Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award in Medical Sciences and her interest lies in the broad area of genome variations and their effect on human genome organisation and function. The primary aim of the her lab is to develop methods using integrative genomics approaches for identifying informative markers that link to health and disease states. Her contribution also initiated a new area of Ayurgenomics wherein our team has provided a novel framework for integration of principles of predictive, prevent and personalised medicine in Ayurveda with modern medicine using multi-omic technologies.

Bhavana Prasher

Dr. Bhavana Prasher has pioneered in the establishment of the new field of Ayurgenomics that aims to integrate principles of Ayurveda with genomics for personalized and preventive medicine since its inception in 2002. Her group has for the first time provided molecular and genomic basis to the principles of Prakriti and using ML based approaches recapitulated the basis of Prakriti assessment. These have propelled biomarker discoveries which has enabled its global acceptance.
